Bujumbura city is the capital of Burundi. It is Burundi’s largest city, the administrative, communication, and economic center. Manufactures include food products, cement and other building materials, textiles, soap, shoes, and metal goods. Livestock and agricultural produce from the surrounding region are traded in Bujumbura. The city is Burundi’s main port and ships and it is located along lake Tanganyika, the second deepest last of the World. Roads connect the city with other cities in the region like Congo and Rwanda. Bujumbura has an international airport (11 km to the center of Bujumbura). People are welcoming and smiling. The city is divided into 3 main part-the North, the down- town (center) and the south. Each part is connected to an other with bridges crossing rivers.
